Brief: As official sponsor of the London 2012 olympics, Samsung needed to promote the new Galaxy S3 in order to increase sales and create awareness of their new release.
Solution: Solution: A digital and interactive campaign where people had the opportunity to be or nominate a torchbearer for Mexico in the London 2012 Olympics. 4 were cultural icons, preselected to invite people to pick the rest. The experience happened through an app called GoGlobe, which allowed users to receive and pass a digital torch through their phone's NFC system.
The digital record was shared and uploaded with the most active users being selected as the 4 remaining torch bearers. User engagement with the brand was high, while creating a greater familiarity with the Samsung Galaxy series.
